Betty Mae Wensyel Anderson, 90, of Bridgeport, died Friday August 18, 2017 at East Ohio Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born April 15, 1927, in Bridgeport, OH, a daughter of the late Cecil and Thelma (Kilgore) Wensyel. She was a life-long member of the Brookside Church of God. She worked as a banquet server at Wheeling Wilson Lodge for 44 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 43 years William J. Anderson Sr. a granddaughter Jody Lynn Bain, brothers Robert and Cecil Wensyel, sisters Dorothy Williams, Nancy Abbott, Marilou Trouten, and Myrtle Erbe. She is survived by her sons, William (Sharon) Anderson of Bridgeport, John (Sue) Anderson of St. Clairsville, Thomas Anderson of Glendale, AZ, an brother Jack (Evelyn) Wensyel, sisters Helen Green, Gloria Jean (Ken) Fowler, six grandchildren; Brian (Robin) Anderson, Joseph (Linda) Anderson, Jennifer White, John Anderson, Natascha Anderson, and Kristin (Billy) Moore, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews whom Betty loved very much. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am by her nephew Pastor Chuck Erbe of Barberton, Ohio, Interment to follow at Weeks Cemetery, Bridgeport, OH.
