Betty (Grey) Darrah, 90, of Overhill Dr., Martins Ferry, OH died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006 at Cortland Memorial Nursing Facility, Cortland, NY. She was born Dec. 29, 1915 in Martins Ferry a daughter to the late Gomer and Mamie (Rothermund) Grey. She retired from the former Fidelity Savings and Loan as head teller and was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church both of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Homer R. Darrah, her twin sister Nancy Nord, a sister Vera Mitchell, and two brothers Charles and Ted Grey. Surviving are a son Robert G. ( C. Lee) Darrah of Burlington, NJ, a daughter Nancy D. (Thomas) Steele of Cortland, NY, four grandchildren; Amy S. Coyne, Lori S. Burrill, and John W. and Robert M. Darrah, and nine great grandchildren: Thomas, Cate, and Cara Coyne, Abby, Jack, and Camille Burrill, Ericka and Gavin Darrah and Aliyah Sullivan. Friends will be received Friday 6-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Grace Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. William O. Webster officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. A Service of Bereavement will be held Friday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
