Obituary

Betty L. Davis, 82, of Bethesda, Ohio, died Monday, July 24, 2017 at Astoria Place.  She was born May 22, 1935 in Calais, Ohio, daughter of the late B.K. and Lula Stephen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Betty Stephen; sisters, Lucille Dowdle and Evelyn Jean. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Bethesda Fire Department Auxiliary. Betty will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband of 63 years, Howard Davis, who spoke about his wife's passion for caring for their home and their children.  She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and was truly blessed, as her family was her most precious gift. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Kathy Davis of St. Clairsville, Ohio; sons, Thomas (Anita) Davis and Stephen Davis all of Bethesda, Ohio; granddaughters, Jessica Davis of Virginia and Sierra Davis of Bethesda, Ohio; great-grandson, John Davis; sisters, Elizabeth Forst of Alliance, Ohio, Stella Weber of Ojai, California, Joyce Swallie of Barnesville, Ohio and Llewellyn of the Carolinas. Family and friends are welcome to visit, Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio, where the service for Betty will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m.  Dr. Brian Bee, Pastor officiating.  Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio. The service for Betty will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m., Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Dr. Brian Bee, Pastor officiating.

Interment

Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
