Betty L. (Dennie) Morris, 92, formerly of Martins Ferry and Neffs, OH, died March 15, 2019 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born January 14, 1927 in Cameron, WV a daughter of the late William and Argatha (Chambers) Dennie.

Betty retired after 40 years of service from Holiday Inn. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry where she helped prepare and serve the Wednesday Luncheons. Betty was also a member of the Polish Club and it could be said she never met a stranger.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fred R. Morris, sons; Raymond and Ronald Morris, sister, Paige Tippett and brother, William "Junior" Dennie.

Surviving are her children; Robert (Mary Ellen) Morris of Martins Ferry, Bill Morris of Clearwater, FL and Pamela (Mitch) Barnes of Neff, grandchildren; Bobby Morris of Columbus, Christopher (Cassandra) Morris of Niles, OH and Brianne Barnes of Houston, TX and a special friend, Flossie Smith.

Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Monday, from 3 - 7:30 p.m. where services will be held, Tuesday, March 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry W. Lewis officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
