KUBAT, Betty Marcela, 87, formerly of Dunglen, Ohio, died on Friday, December 26, 2008, in Homewood of Williamsport.Born November 29, 1921, in Weirton, WVa., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Mahoney.She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dillonvale, Ohio.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kubat, Sr.; two sisters, Alberta Prager and Margaret Douglas; and three brothers, Patrick Prager, Glenn Prager and Eugene Mahoney.She is survived by three daughters, Margiann Olszeski of Hagerstown, Md., Sandy Steffl Moreland of Tempe, Ariz., and Vicki Jo Kubat of Eugene, Ore.; one son, Walter Kubat, Jr. of Bloomingdale, Ohio; two sisters, Shirley Carpenter of Smithfield, Ohio, and Martha Loftus of Steubenville, Ohio; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.Visitation and graveside services will be held in Holly Memorial Gardens Chapel, Colerain, Ohio, on Monday, December 29, 2008, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., with the Reverend William Burris officiating.Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742 or Homewood Retirement Village, 16505 Virginia Ave., Williamsport, MD 21795.Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio.
