Betty R. (Nolan) Douglas, 88, of N. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Dec. 15, 1919 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Harry F. and Inez (Nuzum) Nolan. She was the Registrar for the former Martins Ferry Health Department, a Tour Guide at the Sedgewick Museum, and Assistant Activity Director for the East Ohio Regional Hospital all of Martins Ferry. Betty was a member of the Trinity Assembly of God of Martins Ferry, and the Daughters of America. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lionel E. Douglas. Surviving are her daughter Phyllis G. Douglas of Martins Ferry, and a step grandson John M. Lewis, Sr. of Japan. Friends will be received Friday 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry where services will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008 at 11:00 am with Pastor Roland Boggs officiating.
