Betty Jane Peters 87, of Dillonvale Ohio died Friday January 29, 2011 in Sienna Pointe Nursing Home Pleasant Grove. She was born January 20, 1924 in Johnstown Ohio, a daughter of the late Delbert and Bertha Stewart Burgoon. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Peters, two sons George Steven and Michael Ray Peters, a daughter Debra Sue Peters, three brothers Robert, Harold, and Russell Burgoon, three sisters Imogene Boston, Dorothy Searfos, and Bernice Blackstone. Surviving are two daughters Brenda Kidder of New Bern NC, and Sharon Zurek and her husband James of Dillonvale, a sister-in law Ruth Burgoon of Grandville, Ohio, and sister-in-law Edith Peters of Pataskala, Ohio; four grandchildren: Tina Merrell and her husband Mike of Nobleville In, James H. Zurek and his wife Lisa of Chesapeake Va. Mike Kidder and his wife Elizabeth of New Bern NC, and Josh Kidder and his wife Heather of Myrtle Beach SC, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second St. Dillonvale Thursday February 3, 2011 from 2 till 4 pm. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
