Betty Lou Piatt, 72, of Bethesda, Ohio, died Saturday July 25, 2015 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab. She was born April 26, 1943 in Barnesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Thomas and Viola Whiteley. Betty was a homemaker. She was a woman of courage and strength. Her family and friends turned to her in the ups and downs of everyday life. She was their rock. Betty is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Whiteley of Bethesda, Ohio; sons, Robert and Bradley Gallagher both of Bethesda, Ohio, Andy Piatt of Barnesville, Ohio; grandchildren, Robert and Jacob Marthaler, Tara Vitale; great-grandchildren, Makayla and Addayln Vitale; sister, DonnaJean Perkins of Centerville, Ohio; and brothers, Ray (Faye) Whiteley and Richard (Mae) Whiteley all of Bethesda, Ohio.
