Betty Poludniak 82, of Dillonvale died Thursday November 15, 2012 at Alleghany General Hospital Pittsburgh. She was born March 12, 1930 in Dillonvale, a daughter of the late Adam and Mary (Dzingelewski) Gavarkavich. She was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church Dillonvale. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Poludniak, brothers Henry, Edward, and Anthony Gavarkavich. Betty is survived by her sons; Jeff Poludniak and his wife Barbara, and Christopher "Randy" and his wife Nancy Poludniak both of Dillonvale, a daughter Karen Yanda and her husband Jerry of Dillonvale, a brother John Gavarkavich of Wheeling, four grandchildren Stacy Yanda, Jason, Jordan, and Sofia Poludniak. Friends are invited to a celebration of Betty's life on Monday November 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second St. Dillonvale.
