REHM, Betty Jean Gossett, 85, of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed Saturday April 14, 2012 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 2, 1926, a daughter of the late Jay W. Gossett and Albertha Huffman Holbert. Betty taught school for 34 years, 32 in the Bridgeport School District, ending her career as a Guidance Counselor. She was the past president of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association and past Director of District 9 Ohio Retired Teachers Association. She was a member and past president of Psi Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma. Betty was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she also taught Sunday School and Bible School. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Jay W. Gossett Jr. and a sister Lorraine Palomar. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Harold E. Rehm; a daughter Lisa Leonard and her husband Patrick of Bridgeport; grandchildren: Elise Marie Leonard and Michael Leonard. Friends will be received Tuesday April 17, 2012 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio. Visitation will also be held Wednesday April 18, 2012 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brookside from 11 until time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Karen Torrez, officiating.
