Betty E. (Vickers) Clark, 87, of Jones Addition Rd., Martins Ferry, OH died Thurs., Aug. 16, 2007 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born Aug. 16, 1920 in Martins Ferry, OH a daughter of the late Howard M. and Lilian (Cobb) Vickers, Sr. She was a former Medical Secretary for the Bellaire Clinic and a member of the First Christian Church, Martins Ferry and the Martins Ferry High School Alumni Assoc. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Rolland W. Shipe, her second husband T. Ward Clark, and her grandson Gregory C. Shipe. Surviving are two sons Dr. Bruce (Janis) Shipe of Waynesburg, PA, and R. Brent Shipe of Plano, TX, two step-daughters Sally (Ernest) Hickenbottom of St. Clairsville, OH and Peggy (Larry) Reed of Massillon, OH, two brothers Howard M. (Suzanne) Vickers, Jr. of Colerain, OH and Barrie A. Vickers of Martins Ferry , a sister Jeanann Vickers of Martins Ferry, and a granddaughter Keara Shipe. Family and friends will be received Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Services at 11:00 a.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH, where Minister Rod Kasler will officiate.
