Betty Eileen (Weatherson) Dolenc, 72, of Martins Ferry, OH passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Nov. 5, 1938 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late J. Albert and Daisy Bell (Coss) Weatherson. She was a retired Nurse's Aide from Rosewood Manor, Yorkville, OH. Betty was a member of the Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church and also the Way Memorial Spiritual Church of Wheeling Island. She was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the former Martins Ferry Eagles. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Anton Dolenc, an infant daughter Kathleen, three brothers Thomas Daley, James and Charles Weatherson, and a sister Margaret Marr. Surviving are a son John A. (Vi) Dolenc of Scotch Ridge, three daughters Sharon K. Roski of Adena, and Laura L Dolenc and Sonya L. (Mike Pandelos) Dolenc both of Martins Ferry, and five grandchildren Anthony Dolenc, Stefanie Dolenc, Tyler Lanum, Deidre Roski, and Briah Pandelos. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry where services will be held Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Burial follows in Upland Cemetery, Yorkville, OH. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
