Betty Lou Gordon, 96, of Martins Ferry passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at her home.  She was born February 15, 1926, the daughter of the late Roy and Eleanor (Meyer) Williams.

She retired from the Belmont Metropolitan Housing Authority as manager.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Martins Ferry, Fire Department Auxiliary, Elks Lodge of Martins Ferry, Park Legion Bowling League, where she served as sectary and was an Election Poll worker for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years James F. Gordon, children; John, James E. Gordon, Cynthia Lou Patterson, and Jeffrey Gordon, siblings; Richard, Jerry, Roy, Jack, Pat, and Joyce.

Surviving are four grandchildren; Kathy Sue, Mandy, Barbara, and Jeffrey, great-grandchildren; Brittany, D.J., Ayana, Jessica, as well as 7 great-great grandchildren and one special great-great granddaughter, Teagan.

Friends will be received Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 2-6pm at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut Street, Martins Ferry, OH.  Funeral Service will be Monday, December 5, 2022, at 12 noon at the funeral home.  Burial to follow at the Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry with Rev. Rod Kassler officiating.
