Beverly J. (Matz) Shriver, 80, aka Grandma Garfield, of Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, Apr. 25, 2011 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born Sept. 3, 1930 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Harold J. and Beryl (Baker) Matz. She was retired from East Ohio Regional Hospital and a member of the First Christian Church both of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William S. Shriver, Jr., a sister Margaret Coss, and a grandson Ryan J. Shriver. Surviving are a son Jeffrey (Christine) Shriver of Neffs, OH, two daughters Jennifer (Donald) Simpson of Holloway, OH and Lynda Shriver of Bridgeport, OH, a sister Laurel L. Paul of St. Clairsville, OH, four grandchildren Trisha (Josh) Conrad, Beverly Shriver, Diana and Danielle Czapp, and six great grandchildren Bobby Crow, Taylor Haggerty, Devon White, Ryan Conrad, Gracie and James Taylor, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday, April 30, 2011, from 10 am until time of Memorial Services at Noon, at Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, where Minister Rod Kasler will officiate.
