MORSE, Bill Ray, 62, present Mayor of Dillonvale, Ohio, died Tuesday August 2, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born in Martins Ferry on August 27, 1948, a son of Charles J. and Leona Sowers Morse. Bill was a Methodist; a U S. Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam War; a retired employee of Shoemaker Coal Company; current Mayor of Dillonvale; a member of Pine Valley Sportsman Club; Jefferson County Sportsman Club; Shortcreek Sportsman Club; NRA; VFW, the Dillonvale American Legion Post 529; and NAUI Scuba Divers Association. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; cousins: Richard and Larry Gatchel; aunt Helen Gatchel and a nephew Adam Miller. In addition to his parents, Bill is survived by his loving wife Janice Yarish Morse; a son Bryan (Bird) Morse of Pittsburg, PA; a daughter Stacey Morse (Jason Beverly) of Fort Walton Beach, Fla..; grandson: Charlie David Morse; a brother Charles Morse Jr. (Mona) of Harrisville, Ohio; a sister Kimberly Tomison of Dillonvale; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio where services will be held Friday August 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend William Burris officiating. Graveside Military Honors will be provided by the Dillonvale American Legion Post #529 at the cemetery. Entombment will be at Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
