Billie Von (Schafer) Coss, 65, of S. Eight St., Martins Ferry, OH died Wed., Sept. 5, 2007 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born July 31, 1942 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Troy) Schafer. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Lady's Auxiliary and Eucharistic Ministry all of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gerald "Jerry" Coss, a brother Edward Schafer, and a sister Elizabeth Schafer Ellis. Surviving are her two nephews George (Cindy) Adams and John Adams, three nieces Mary Jo Ellis Villanueva, Lydia Lambert and Cyndee Marling , mother-in-law Marie Coss of Martins Ferry, two sisters-in-law Mary E. Staley and Patti Cika both of Martins Ferry, and several great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Fri., 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Sat., Sept. 8, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating. Burial follows at St. Mary's Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH. Rosary devotions will be recited Fri at 3:00 PM in the funeral home.
