Blanche E. Glavaris, 89, formerly of St. Clairsville and Martins Ferry, OH died, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Country Club Rehabilitation Campus, Bellaire, OH. She was born May 18, 1927 in Brookside, OH a daughter of the late Frank R. and Lula M. (Lilly) Young. Blanche retired as a switchboard operator from East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley N. "Stake" Glavaris, children; Stanley F.N. Glavaris, Jon S. Glavaris and Melinda Sue Glavaris, brothers; Fred, Robert, Thomas, and Melvin Young, and sisters; Dorothy Creamer, Lora Shriver, Virginia Gildow and Sara J. Young. Surviving are her son, David J. (Diane) Glavaris of Brookside and sister Betty Roth of Cadiz, OH, grandchildren; Joshua (Nicole) David Glavaris, Danielle Nicole Glavaris and Kimberly Jean (Joseph) Braden, and great grandchildren; Hailey, Emily and Tyler Braden. Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry on Sunday 1- 6 p.m. where services will be held Monday, August 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Gifford officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book below.
