KOUSKI, Blanche Elizabeth, 93, of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed away Saturday May 23, 2009 at Park Health Center, St. Clairsville, Ohio. She was born January 4, 1916 in Blaine, Ohio, the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen Kouski. Blanche was employed as a manager of the McCory's Lunch counter of Wheeling and later became manager of the former Paris Hat Shop of Wheeling. She was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church of Bridgeport, Ohio and an active member of the Catholic Women's Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Fred and Alex, both killed in action in WWII, and John of Brookside and Ben of Wheeling; a sister, Rose Kouski Kavesky and a nephew, Stanley Edwin Kavesky, both of Lansing. Blanche is survived by a sister, Helen Kouski of Wheeling; also four nephews: Walter F. and his wife Claire (Matz) Kavesky, Tom and his wife Ronda (Duke) Kouski of Wheeling, Fred and John Kouski, both of Columbus, Ohio; five great-nieces: Teri Marie Kavesky Preslin of Martins Ferry, Kristin Marie Kouski of Richmond, Va., Brad Kouski of Wheeling, Markie and Logan Kouski of Columbus, Ohio; four great-great nieces and nephews: Brittni Marie, Sydney Nicole, and Anthony Walter Preslin of Martins Ferry, and Francesca Davis of St. Clairsville, and her precious cat Rachael. There will be no visitation but friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Monday, May 25, 2009, with Monsignor Thomas Petronek as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Blaine, Ohio. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
