Blanche Marie Baker Tipton, 89 of Bradenton, Florida, passed away July 12, 2025 at her home in Bradenton, surrounded by her children.  Blanche was born March 12,1936 in Sewellsville, Ohio to the late Dexter and Zelma (Butler) Baker.

She was preceded in death by her husband John following 68 years of marriage. Also preceding were sisters Phyllis Barrett, Ruth Scott and Freda Gingery and brothers "Junior" Dexter Baker Jr., and Donnie Baker. She is survived by 3 daughters, Janet Morris of Florida, Bev (Rich) Lyons of Cambridge, Ohio, and Pat Tipton of Florida; 2 sons, Ron (Cindy) Tipton of Piedmont, Ohio and John (Melinda) Tipton of Florida; along with 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great- great grandchildren.  She has 4 surviving sisters, Ginny Armstrong, Gladys Smith, Shirley Carpenter and Sarah Cline all of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

Blanche loved her family and the Lord. Reading or listening to books on tape was her favorite pastime. She worked retail for many years after moving to Florida, retiring from the JCPenney company.

We invite you to reminisce, share prayers and condolences during visitation to be held at Wilson Funeral Home – Barnesville Chapel, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville on Saturday, July 19 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., followed by words and prayer reflecting her Christian faith. Graveside service and burial will follow at Sewellsville Cemetery.
