Bonnie Lucey, 65 of Martins Ferry, passed away peacefully at her residence, Saturday, October 16, 2021. She was born September 21, 1956, in Martins Ferry the daughter of the late Alison R. and Ruth (Casto) Leach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jeremiah Lucey, Jr.

Bonnie was a Registered Nurse and worked for WVU Medicine Reynolds Hospital, Glendale, WV. She was a 1974 graduate of Martins Ferry High School and went on to further her education at B.M. Spurr School of Nursing and West Virginia Northern Community College obtaining her degree in nursing. Bonnie dedicated 45 years to helping people and her patients. Bonnie's biggest and best accomplishment were her three children and becoming a grandmother who were so special to her. Bonnie's spirit of compassion and charity was constant throughout her life.

Surviving are her children, Jeremiah (Bethany) III, Lucey Brookside, Rusty (Angie) Lucey, Colerain and Heather Lucey of Martins Ferry, and her grandchildren Baron, Keenan, Holdyn, Ayden Lucey, and Kal-El Wilkinson. She has four sisters, Ellie Cummings, Jill Schafer, Cindy Gentile and Wendy Leach.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel is assisting the Lucey Family.
