Obituary

Brad Carpenter, 85, of Batesville, Ohio, died Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Born March 12, 1931 in Calais, Ohio, he was the son of the late Earl W. Carpenter, Jr. and Edna Moore Carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Carpenter. Brad is survived by his wife of 65 years, Delma Roe Carpenter of their home in Batesville, Ohio; sons, Greg (Sharon) Carpenter of North Carolina, Russell (Kyung) Carpenter of San Francisco, Melvin (Michele) Carpenter of Summerfield, Ohio; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Lila Wise; and brother, Ernie (Judy) Carpenter all of Barnesville, Ohio. Brad was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling with his dog, Luckee. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Pirates. Honoring Brad's wishes, a private service and interment will take place at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City, Ohio. Ministers Vernon and John Crum officiating.
