Obituary

Bradford E. "Brad" Dowdle, 67, of Bethesda, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at his home. He was born October 24, 1944 in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of the late Kenneth Dowdle and Mary Cecil Dowdle. Brad was a very talented man, a gifted mechanic, and a retired school bus driver for Union Local Schools. Early in his career, he worked as a mechanic in the coal mines and later, as owner of Brad's Marathon. If it was broke, Brad could fix it. Over the years, he enjoyed traveling, his train hobby, and his fondness of classic cars, having restored several of his own. Brad was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. He and Sue just celebrated 47 years of marriage. Brad was a Methodist by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Paul Tracy. Brad is survived by his loving wife, Sue Tracy Dowdle; daughter, Amy (Brian) Kinder of Flushing; grandchildren, Terence Caldwell Marietta and Savanna and Austin Kinder of Flushing; sisters, Netti (Tom) Albaugh of Colorado, Deloras Amore of Scio, and Lana (Joe) Kirby of Lewisville; brother, Dana Hughs and mother, Katherine Hughs both of Stark County; sister-in-law, Susan Tracy; brother-in-law, Gerald (Garnet) Tracy; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Missy. Friends may visit, Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio where services will be conducted, Wednesday 11 a.m. Minister Tim Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
