Bruce Allen Oliver, 68, of Bridgeport, OH, passed Sunday August 13, 2017 at the University of Pittsburgh Presbyterian Hospital. He was born in Wheeling, WV on April 4, 1949, a son of the late Jess and Sarah "Bessie" Elizabeth Smith Oliver. Bruce was a General Contractor, a U. S. Army Veteran and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bellaire, OH. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers: Sherman, Jerry and Brother Buck Oliver. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Shirley Jean Grimm Oliver, sons: Stacy (Mitzy) Oliver of Grove City, OH, Jess (Dawn) Oliver of Bridgeport, OH, sisters: Liz (Bob) Metz, Gert (Henry) Grob, Shirley Oliver (Pat), Jessie Mae Toten, grandchildren: Toni, Cory, Kaiden, Amiah, Jon, Kyler, Joe, Karis, Ava, TJ, Mikayla, great-grandchildren: Kyden, Brayden, Kynslea and Brooke. Friends will be received Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, where services will be held Thursday August 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Phil Bliss officiating.
