Bryan K. Perry, 49, went to be with our Lord after a short battle with cancer on Wed., June 25, 2014 surrounded by his Family. He was born Aug. 1, 1964 in Martins Ferry a son of Marcia (Gillespie) Perry and the late Keith D. Perry. He was an employee of Wheeling Automotive. He was a 1982 graduate of Martins Ferry High School where he was active in swimming, track & field and wrestling. He was also a Eagle Scout in Troop # 62, Martins Ferry where he was a member of the Order of the Arrow Indian Dance Team. He also served on Troop Committees. He was a 1998 graduate of Ohio University with a BA in Psychology, former Pastor of Lloydsville United Methodist Church , a member and PER of Ohio River Valley Elks Lodge #231, Martins Ferry, a PDDGER of the Elks, SE District and an avid poker player on the WSOP Circuit. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, and best friend of 19 ½ years, Charlene E. (Hanson) Perry, children; Amanda (Gary) Phillips of Wheeling, WV and Jessica (Neal) Stillion of Flushing, OH, grandsons; Connor, Colin and Colton, Aunts; Jeanne (Bill) Barrett and Darlene (John) Hercules and several cousins. He will be sadly missed by his dog Missy and cats; Swifty, Sami and Sassy. Friends will be received Friday, 4-9 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Van Fisher officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Martins Ferry Elks will hold services Friday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice or to the family to help defray the funeral cost. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
