Calvin O. Hord, 95, of Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, June 29, 2020 at Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV. He was born April 18, 1925 in Shelby, N.C. a son of the late Grover and Emma (Porter) Hord.

Calvin retired from the former Welty Buick of Wheeling.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Martins Ferry and the D.A.V. of Bellaire, OH. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are his wife of 74 years, Elizabeth A. (Smithoffer) Hord, his son, Richard A. Hord of Martins Ferry, his sister-in-law, Julia Peklicz, and several nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH with Rev. Tom Marut officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, OH.
