Carl W. Darrah, 88 of N. 8th St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sun., Apr. 3, 2005 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH. He was born Sept. 3, 1916 in Martins Ferry, OH a son of the late John and Laura (Black) Darrah. He was retired from the Eastern Ohio Regional Wastewater Authority, and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Past President of the Methodist Mens Group, Ohio City Lodge #486 F.& A.M.where he was Past Master all of Martins Ferry, Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville, York Rite Mason, Osiris Shrine Director Staff, and also Past Scout Master of Troop #62 at United Methodist Church for many years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Ralph, Clarence, and Homer Darrah. Surviving are his wife Bernice (Brown) Darrah, two sons Dave Darrah and his wife Peggy of Toledo and Jack Darrah and his wife Karol of Tipp City, a sister Dorothy Darrah of Wheeling. He took great pride in six grandsons who all graduated from college, and also six great grandchildren. Friends will be received Mon. 6-8 PM and Tues., 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wed. Apr. 6, 2005 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Van Fisher officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH. Masonic Ritualistic Services will be held Tues at 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
