Carl John Hupp Jr., 64, of Rayland, Ohio, passed Monday July 29, 2013 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born in Wheeling, W.Va. on March 2, 1949, a son of the late Carl John Hupp Sr. and Dorothy Hammer Hupp. Carl was a retired employee of Consol, Shoemaker Mine; a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson, caring for his horses, fishing and his schnauzers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Jason Hupp. Carl is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Myers Cox Hupp; son Eric (Chris) Hupp of Ravenswood, W.Va., daughter-in-law Mandy Hupp of Barnesville; son: Carl John Hupp III "CJ" of Pleasant Grove, Ohio; sister Maude (Jeff) Brown of Powhatan, Ohio; stepdaughters: Lori (Frank) Longwell of Benwood, W.Va., Brandi James of Bellaire; stepson Larry (Terri) Cox Jr. of Bellaire; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 8p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, where services will be held Friday August 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Belmont Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Clairsville, where graveside military honors will be provided by Belmont County Veterans Association.
