Obituary

Carl J. "Zeke" Zaleski, 75, of Freeport, formerly of Lansing, died Friday January 10, 2014 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born October 5, 1938 in Bellaire, a son of the late Stanley and Mildred (Novak) Zaleski. He was a retired employee of Ormet Corporation, a member of the Lansing Sportsman Club, and Polish Club Wolfhurst, he was also an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and golfer. He loved the Cleveland Browns, and Ohio State Buckeye's. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Ed Zaleski, and a sister Annjanette Merryman. Carl is survived by his wife Carol (Williams) Zaleski, a daughter Sheri (Bob) Danielson, a son Paul Zaleski both of Blaine, a step-son Tom Helms of Goshen, In. a step-daughter Shannon (John) Crolley of Martins Ferry, and a sister Nancy Harris of Bellaire, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Tuesday January 14, 2014 from 4pm till time of service at 8 pm, with Rev. James Hoff officiating. Private interment will held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America 322 Eighth Ave. 7 th Fl.
