CAROL JEAN BURLEY
Carol Jean Burley, 77, of Bethesda, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, February 5, 2020. Born in Youngstown, Ohio December 26, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Jess Francis and Grace McCabe Francis.
Carol was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffery Burley; sisters, Dorothy Bell, Sarah Weekley; brother, Jim Francis; and grandsons, Ryan Neitzelt and Taylor Harris.
Cherishing Carol's memory are those who survive; her husband of 56 years, Ed Burley of Bethesda; daughter, Stephanie (Brian) Harris of Bethesda; sons, Steven (Christine) Burley of Belmont, David (Lindsay) Burley of Bethesda; grandchildren, James Dowdle, Brandy Kellaway, Chad Burley, Rebecca Neitzelt, Daniel Burley, Clorisa Tanner, Brooklyn Burley, Carson Burley, Reagan Burley, Cody Harris, and Gage Harris; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna (Marvin) Gray; and brother Dave (Sally) Francis all of Barnesville.
A lifetime member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Carol was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith was an inspiration to all who knew her and she shared it warmly and lovingly. Her family was her pride and joy. After church every Sunday, she always cooked dinner for her entire family. She enjoyed everyone gathered around the table and the memories that were being made. She loved her flower garden and the beauty she would see, as each flower came into bloom.
Family will welcome guests for visitation, Sunday, February 9, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda.
The service for Carol will be held, Monday, February 10, 2020 at noon, with visitation from 11:00 am until service time, Ebenezer Baptist Church, 309 Oak Street, Bethesda. Dr. Brian Bee, Pastor will be officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.
