Carol Jean Delbridge, 81 of Bellaire formerly of Martins Ferry passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Wheeling Hospital. She was born March 11, 1940, in Martins Ferry the daughter of the late Harold and Grace (Cecil) McKnight.

Carol was a homemaker and a member of the Frist Christian Church of Martins Ferry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Fred Delbridge better known to all as Sonny and her son Robert Delbridge.

Carol is survived by her children; Paul Delbridge of Martins Ferry, Charl (Robert) Elder of Madison, Ohio, Debbie (Roger)Moore of Tiltonsville, Terry Delbridge of Bellaire, Ellen Morrow of Bellaire, David Delbridge of Yorkville, brother, James Cecil, sisters; Darlene Phillips, Joyce Beal, and Karen Castello, sister-in-law Patricia LeMaster, 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren complete her family.

Family will receive friends, Friday, March 11, 2022, from 3-8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry. Funeral service will take place at 3pm with Rev. Rod Kasler officiating. Visitation will follow until 8pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Wilson Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
