Carolyn R. (Redman) Kain, 79, of Colerain, OH died Monday, February 19, 2018 at her home. She was born July 2, 1938 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Arthur and Elsie (Brooks) Redman.

Carolyn was an active member of the East Richland Friends Church, St. Clairsville, OH.

She served as a Den Mother of Cub Scout Pack 52 and a member of Captina Chapter # 489, Order of the Eastern Star (formerly Bridgeport, OH) for many years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband of 55 years James E. Kain and son Bobby Kain.

Carolyn was a devoted sister, mother, and grandmother. Surviving family members include two sons; Richard (Synthia) Kain of Dayton, OH and Scott (Beth) Kain of Adena, OH, her brother, Ron Redman of Sardis, OH and five grandchildren; Luke, Skylar, Robert, Karl and Anna.

Friends will be received Friday, 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, February 24, 2018 from noon until time of services 1:00 p.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH with Pastor David Ratliff officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to: East Richland Evan.
