Carolyn Lee Tennyson, 69, of Bridgeport, passed away on December 11, 2010 Select Specialty Hospice, Zanesville, Ohio. She was born on March 31, 1941 to Elwood and Louise (Pitner) Laipple. Carolyn worked as a LPN and Respiratory Therapist for Wheeling Hospital and was a member of Bridgeport City Council; Bus Committee; American Legion Post 227 Women's Aux. and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Bridgeport. Carolyn is survived by her loving spouse of 46 years Alfred, son - Randy (Linda) Tennyson of Bridgeport, Ohio; 2 daughters - Christy (Shane) Cooke of Columbus, Ohio, Carrie Tennyson (Chad West) of Moundsville, WV; 2 granddaughters - Tressie Anthony, Abbey Tabacchi; 3 grandsons - Alex Tabacchi, Ethan Cooke, Alex Cooke; and a great-grandson - Troy Anthony. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elwood and Louise Pitner Laipple and a brother Gerald Laipple. Friends will be received Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 16, 2010, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Bridgeport, OH, with Fr. John Mucha, as celebrant.
