Carylon Joyce Van Fossen, 72, of Barnesville, Ohio died Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Liza's Place in Wheeling, West Virginia. She was born March 28, 1941 in Barnesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Matthew P. Van Fossen and Margaret P. Schilling Van Fossen.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Barnesville and the Barnesville Senior Center. She was an extraordinary teacher for over 40 years at Belmont Harrison Career Center and known affectionately by her students as Ms. V. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her paretns, she was preceded in death by her sister, Susan L. Johnson and grandson, Michael Blon.
Carylon is survived by her daughter, Paula (James) Blon, Sr. of Barnesville; grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Blon, James Blon, Jr., and Bret Michael Blon; and great-granddaughter, Easton Rayne Blon.
Visitation for Carylon will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio, where the service will be conducted, Thursday at 10 a.m. Pastor Edward Eberhart will be officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
