Catherine M. (Franczak) Wolfe Martin , 86, of Martins Ferry, OH died Mon., May 3, 2004 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. She was born Nov. 18, 1917 in Arcadia, PA a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Bata) Franczak. She was a retired unit secretary for East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry and a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and Eagles Aerie #456 Auxiliary all of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Walter W. Wolfe, her second husband Herman R. Martin, a daughter Lori A. (Wolfe) Fisher, two brothers Joseph and Pete Franczak and a sister Stella Spinder. Surviving are three daughters Jean (Greg) Taylor of Richmond, VA, Darlene (James) Myers of Bowling Green, OH, and Debbie (Jim) Heslop of Chardon, OH, a son Ronald (Joyce) Wolfe of Westerville, OH, a brother Frank Franczak of Calif., a sister Helen Lentz of Martins Ferry, fifteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. Friends will be received Thurs 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Fri., May 7, 2004 at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas Magary officiating. Burial follows in St. Marys Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH. Rosary devotions will be recited Thurs. at 3:00 PM followed by Wake services at 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
