CATHERINE A GOODRICH, 79, of Brookside, died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born April 15, 1929 in Brookside, the daughter of the late James and Katherine (Zastudil) Herink. Catherine was a member of the Bridgeport Athletic Boosters and was the owner/operator of the Martins Ferry Beauty Shop for 60 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers James and Louis Herink. Catherine is survived by her husband Richard Goodrich of Brookside and a son Rick Goodrich and his wife Alison of Bridgeport. In accordance with Catherine's wishes, her funeral services will be private. Catherine's philosophy on life was, "I came, I stayed, and I went".
