Cecil Owens Jr., 89, of Adena, OH, died December 12, 2019 at Altercare of Adena Nursing Home.  He was born December 30, 1929, in Brilliant, OH, a son of the late Cecil H. and Mary M. (Shively) Owens.

Cecil was a U.S. Airforce Veteran, was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for AEP, and was a Christian by faith.

In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by wife, Margaret C. Owens, and an infant daughter, Margaret.

He is survived by sons, Greg (Linda) Owens of Adena, Mickey Owens of Warwood; brother, Larry (Alice) Owens of Florida; grandchildren, Chris (Jordan) Owens, Ashley (Derrick) Sproul, and Andrew (Samantha) Owens; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Sunday, December 15th from 12p.m. until 3p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH.  Friends will also be received Monday, December 16th from 10a.m. until time of service at 11a.m.  Belmont County Veterans Association military services at 11a.m. followed by funeral services with Reverend Barry Hall officiating.  Interment at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
