Chad R. Davies, 25, of Seabrights Ln, Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, Jun. 16, 2008 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. He was born Jun. 5, 1983 in Bellaire, OH a son of John R. and Janie D. (Snyder) Davies. He was co-owner of Davies Construction of Martins Ferry and worked out of the Operating Engineer's Local #18 of Akron, OH. Chad was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather John W. Snyder and paternal grandmother Hilda Davies. Surviving in addition to his parents of Martins Ferry are a sister Christy (George) Shreve of Martins Ferry, his fiancé Sara Erwin of Martins Ferry, a maternal grandmother Dorothy Snyder of Martins Ferry, paternal grandparents Gomer and Carol Davies of Crescent, OH, a niece Sarah Elizabeth Shreve, two cousins Tiffany and Tara Snyder, and many aunts and uncles. Friends will be received Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Friday, June 20, 2008 at 1:00 pm with Rev. William O. Webster officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Elders of the church will hold services Thursday at 7:00 pm followed by the Martins Ferry Fire Department at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
