Obituary

Charles T. "Charlie" Moore, 90, of Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at his residence. He was born Aug. 20, 1924 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Charles W. Moore and Leatha (Petchauer) Moore Lashhorn.
He was retired from the Steubenvile South Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel.
Charlie was a member of American Legion Post #38 and Polish National Alliance #2220 both of Martins Ferry. He was also a member of the Hungarian American Cultural Society and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII serving under General George Patton.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Margaret (Kadar) Moore.
Surviving are his daughters; Margie (Roger) McFarland and Patty (Chuck, Jr.) Bennett both of Martins Ferry, his brother, Donald (Shirley) Moore of Rayland, OH and grandchildren; Chuck (Ashley) Bennett, III and Abbey Bennett both of Martins Ferry.
Friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm where services will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10:00 am with Pastor James Agnew, III officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
Military honors will be presented by the Belmont County Council American Legion at 9:45 am prior to services at the funeral home.
