Charles R. Conway, 75, of Ellett St., Martins Ferry, OH died Wed., Jan. 18, 2006 at home. He was born Jan., 7, 1931 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Samuel L. and Florence (Miller) Conway. He was retired from the former Bean's Foundry of Martins Ferry. Charles was a member of American Legion Post #38 of Martins Ferry, and a veteran of the U. S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers , Richard, David, Jerry and Robert and two sisters Joyce and Linda. Surviving are his wife of 45 years Mary Ellen (Gotshall) Conway, three sons Charles J. ( Holly) Conway of Columbus, Lee R. (Judy) Conway of Martins Ferry, and Russell A. (Lorie) Conway of Yorkville, thirteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, three brothers Jack of Fla., Steven of Calif., and Thomas of Wheeling, and three sisters Carol Bluthardt of Bellaire, Patricia Sproul of St. Clairsville, and Deborah Wells of Michigan. Friends will be received Friday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Joseph Sanders officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
