"Sonny" Charles Doty, 73, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. He was born July 27, 1938 in Blaine, Ohio to the late Charles and Edith Doty. He retired as a supervisor from Belco Workshop and was a collector of many things. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved playing blue grass music with his boys. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Sheila; two sisters; and two nieces. Sonny is survived by his wife, Kay, whom he married April 8, 1966; three sons, Kevin Doty (Tammy House) of Barnesville, Danny Doty (Shelly Taylor) of Byesville, and Doug (Kim) Smith of Barnesville; sister, Babe Swallie; brother, Tom Doty; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call, Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio, where services will be conducted Wednesday 1 p.m.. Pastor Charles A. Clark officiating.. Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.
