Charles E. Hood Charles E. "Chuck" Hood, 75, of Washington Blvd, Martins Ferry, OH died Jan. 21, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Jan. 28, 1927 in Martins Ferry a son of Hazel M. (Long) Hood and the late Edward S. Hood. He was retired from the Mingo Junction plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife Mary R. (Bumbico) Weekley Hood and a son Charles A. "Chuckie" Hood. Surviving are a son Ronald J. Weekley and his wife Mary of Martins Ferry, a daughter Catherine Coole and her husband Jeffery of Farmington, two brothers Donald L. Hood and his wife Theresa of Whittier, CA and Lloyd G. Hood and his wife Carol of Martins Ferry, a sister Joann Slatniske of Mingo Junction, and five grandchildren Chrysta, Abigail, and Stephany Weekley, and Jeffery and Zachery Coole. Friends will be received Thurs. 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Friday 11AM until time of services at 1:00 PM, Jan. 24, 2003, when Rev. Joseph Sanders will officiate. Arrangements by Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
