Charles F. Lucas, Sr., 89, of S. 10th St., Martins Ferry, OH, died November 22, 2018, at his home. He was born April 25, l929, in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Clyde Lucas, Sr., and Thelma (Reynard) Lucas.

Charles retired from International Harvester and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Korean War.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann K. (Stephens) Lucas, two sisters and a brother.

Surviving are his sons, Charles F. (Sharon) Lucas, Jr. and Scott Lucas both of Martins Ferry and Keith (Julie) Lucas of Cadiz, OH and his brother, Richard (Audra) Lucas of Rayland, OH.

Also surviving are his grandchildren; Matthew (Ashley) Smith, Brianne (Dale) Mussard, Chelsea (Erik) Mullins, Kassandra Lucas, and Caleb Lucas and great grandchildren, Matthew and Molly Smith.

Friends will be received on Sunday, November 25th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut Street, Martins Ferry, OH, where funeral services will be held Monday, November 26 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeremy Ellis officiating. Burial follows at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter, 45244 National Road, St. Clairsville, OH, 43950. Military Honors will be presented by the Belmont County Veterans Association at 10:45 a.m. in the funeral home.
