MORSE, Charles Jack Sr., 87, of Dillonvale, Ohio, passed Saturday, January 18, 2014 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.He was born in Brockport, PA, on December 2, 1926, a son of the late Charles W. and Laura Belle Gardner Morse.Jack was a Methodist, a retired employee of Norfolk & Western Railroad; a member of the Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post 529; Pine Valley Sportsmans Club, Dillonvale Eagles, U.S. Navy WWII Veteran, member Yorkville VFW; and a graduate of Vale Tech Mechanic School.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Bill Ray Morse on August 2, 2011; a great grandson Glen Adam Miller on December 12, 2007; a sister Helen Gatchel, and nephews Richard and Larry Gatchel.Jack is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Leona Sowers Morse, a son Charles Jack Morse and his wife Mona of Harrisville, Ohio; a daughter Kimberly Ilene Tomisin of Dillonvale, daughter in law Janice Morse of Dillonvale; grandchildren: Bryan, Stacey, Tracy, Heather, Megan, Shane; nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio, where services will be held Thursday January 23, 2014 at noon with Rev. James Hoff, officiating. Military Honors by Dillonvale American Legion McCook Post #529, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
