Charles E. Padgelek, 86, of Belmont St., Martins Ferry, OH died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. He was born Nov. 25, 1922 in Richland Twp., OH a son of the late Rudolph and Anna Catherine (Ugron) Padgelek. He was retired from the Consol Mining Company. Charles was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, WW II, where he was in a number of campaigns. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife of sixty-five years Violet R. (Bazar) Padgelek, four sons Ben (Karen) Padgelek of Tiltonsville, OH, Roy (Chris) Padgelek, and Charles S. (Kathy) Padgelek both of Martins Ferry, and Bill (Martha) Padgelek of Beallsville, OH, two daughters Tina Padgelek of Martins Ferry and Goldie (Gary) Craig of Florence, OH, twelve grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, where services will be held Friday August 28, 2009 at 11:00 am with Rev.
