Charles W. Branson, III Charles W. "Sonny" Branson, III, 51, of Main St., Rayland, OH, died Thurs., Jul. 31, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Mar. 31, 1952 in Cheyenne, WY a son of Roberta "Bertie" Jackson Stewart and the late Charles W. Branson, II. He was a former employee of Valley Vending and attended Waymen AME Church, Martins Ferry, OH. In additions to his father he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Isaiah and Hazel Jackson, his paternal grandparents Charles and Catherine Branson, and a nephew Phillip Chase. Surviving are his mother and step father David C. Stewart of Smithfield , two sisters Cynthia Chase and her husband Wayne of Bellaire and Karen Rafferty and her husband Kent of Irwin, PA, one niece Monica Chase and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
