Charles Allen Sorge, 89, of Bridgeport, Ohio, went to be with the Lord Wednesday August 31, 2016 at home. He was born in Wheeling, WV, on May 18, 1927, a son of the late John and Margaret Malcolm Sorge. Allen was a retired computer programmer and a member of the New Life Church of God of Texas. He dedicate his life to the Lord Jesus in 1976. Thru his many outreaches and ministries he helped lead numerous lost souls to salvation. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Martha Bishop Sorge; ten siblings, a daughter Donna Finsley and a grandson Christopher "Cage" Grandstaff. Allen is survived by sons: Michael (Diana) Sorge of Bridgeport, David (Rebecca) Sorge of Tyler, TX, Stephen (July) Sorge of Woodlands, TX, daughters: Christine (Paul) White of Colerain, Theresa (Daniel) Dawson of Bridgeport, OH, sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Bridgeport, Ohio where services will be held Wednesday September 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at a later date in Tyler Texas.
