Charles James Vargo Jr., 78, of St. Clairsville, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Wheeling Hospital.  He was born on September 3, 1942 in Barton, a son of the late Charles and Helen (Melnick) Vargo Sr.  He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and was a member of the Bridgeport Eagles, Lansing Sportsman Club and the Martins Ferry Italian Club.

Charles is survived by a son, Mike (Stephanie Lock) Vargo of Colerain; 3 daughters, Kimberly (Rick) Burlenski, Traci (Eugene "Fritz") Millard all of Bridgeport and Lori Vargo of Columbus; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a niece, Elsie Bittner and a nephew, Carl Bittner.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jean Grimes.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 29 at 10 am in Linwood Cemetery.  Services are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.
