Cheryl Lou Bennett, 64, of Rayland, formerly of Martins Ferry, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021, in Trinity Hospital.  She was born on June 30, 1957, in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late, George and Ina (Ferrell) Post.  Cheryl was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Matthew C. Bennett IV, Todd Bennett and Juston (Jeanette) Bennett; a brother, Roger Post; 4 sisters, Reta Coen, Carol Toland, Linda (George) Tice and Kathy Smith and many nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Matthew C. Bennett III on January 15, 2021; a brother, Sonny Post and 3 sisters, Flora Post, Sandy Post and Ina Mae Kuhn.

Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 am in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
