Chester St. Claire Custer, 67 of Dillonvale passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry. He was born on July 13, 1954, the son of the late Chester and Mary Louise (Shilling) Custer.

Chester was retired from the railroads and was a veteran of the US Army serving his country in the Vietnam conflict.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Monica (Atwood) Custer, brothers; Timothy and Mark Custer.

Surviving are his children, Chad (Lyndsey) Custer of Bellaire and Ryan Custer of Dillonvale as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, sisters; Sharyl (Doug) LaCross of Martins Ferry and Mikki Custer of Florida.

According to Chester's wishes all services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale is proudly serving the family.
