CHESTER KINNEY

Chester Kinney, 92, of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away at Liza's Place on May 23, 2021.

He was born to Chester and Nell (Moore) Kinney on February 13, 1929 in Barnesville, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Olive Kinney, with whom he has now be reunited.

Chester is survived by his son, Brian Kinney of Barnesville.

A United States Army veteran, Chester served his country during the Korean Conflict. He attended First Baptist Church and worked as the maintenance supervisor for the Barnesville School System, adjusting easily to different situations and not getting frustrated with unexpected challenges. He was a member of the Eastern Ohio Amateur Wireless Association (E.O.A.W.A.) and received his amateur radio license.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with the service following, at Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville.  Dr. Brian Bee, Pastor will be officiating.  Interment will take place at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial Contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, Ohio 43943.
